We displayed many of the charges and ordinaries as they are ‘seen’ on the shields. Charges are pictorial items like animals, flowers, objects or many others. Ordinaries are the simple ‘geometric’ figures like the chevron, square or others. In many cases seeing the charge or ordinary on the shield helps visualize the desired design. Supporters are charges that are actually ‘outside’ of the shield.
